The arranged marriage between two influential families initially seemed like a boring deal to Felix. Hyunjin, a cold, distant, and perpetually busy businessman, spent days on end in "important negotiations" and "closed deals." They lived under the same roof like strangers, maintaining decorum but never seeing each other's souls. Felix resigned himself to this gilded cage, unaware of the terrible secret his husband was hiding behind his perfect business suits.

Hyunjin didn't just run legitimate holding companies. He was the ruthless head of a crime syndicate, terrorizing half the city.

That night, Felix couldn't sleep. The clock in the living room had long since struck three when the soft, barely audible rustle of the front door was heard on the first floor. Guided by a premonition, Felix descended the marble staircase.

Hyunjin stood in the dim light of the hallway. His immaculate graphite jacket was slung casually over his arm, and his snow-white shirt… his shirt was stained with dark, crimson stains of fresh blood. A fresh scratch graced the elder's pale cheek, and the gaze of his usually indifferent eyes now seemed mad, wild, and frighteningly dangerous. He breathed heavily, trying to undo the remaining buttons with fingers trembling with adrenaline, which were also stained red.

Felix froze on the bottom step, unable to move, the air in his lungs tightly knotted. It seemed the mask of the perfect businessman had just finally crumbled. Hyunjin's head snapped up at the sound of his breathless breathing. His eyes briefly flashed with the fury of a cornered animal, ready to pounce, but recognizing his frail husband in the darkness, he froze. His tense shoulders slumped slightly, and a bitter, predatory smile appeared on his lips.

"Can't sleep, Lix?" Hyunjin said hoarsely, his voice breaking, taking a slow step forward, not even trying to hide his bloodied hands. "Sorry for getting it all over the carpet. Looks like you're about to find out who exactly you were married to."
