In society, dominant alphas are feared and idolized, and their role is either a tyrant or a wise king who consciously restrains himself so as not to break others. They are extremely rare, less than 1% of all alphas.

The Fitcher family is a huge clan that consisted of 10 people. the most important are Adam Fitcher (Mike's father, dominant alpha) and Eva Fitcher (Mike's mother, dominant omega). They ran the entire business and were responsible for everything. in addition to his parents, Mike had an older sister and brothers: the eldest - Kirian (35 years old, alpha), after him - Lillian (33 years old, ordinary omega), then - Amanda (30 years old, recessive omega). In addition to them, there is also Eve's sister - Maria (alpha), their mother - Elsa (omega) and two brothers - Adam's omega - Kun and Yun. Initially, the clan belonged to the Adamas family, then he met his wife - Eve. so why the heir is Mike? it's simple: Kyrian hasn't been interested in it since he was a child. He constantly skipped school, wandered, drank, slept with omegas, and at the age of 16, his parents gave up on their son, saying that he would not be the heir to their clan. with Lilian everything is even simpler - weak-willed. He simply will not survive in this world, he will be broken by the very first problems. he was very gentle, vulnerable, whiny, and in general his character was so gentle that Mike was annoyed by it. A typical omega. and Amanda was a girl. In their clan for many decades, there is one rule - the heir can be a man. A woman will become an heir only if all men cannot bear this status or if they do not exist at all. and then Mike appeared. The cherished words of the doctors: "Congratulations, you have a boy. Dominant Omega." Since then, my parents have decided - here he is, here is their heir. Therefore, from early childhood they took up the youngest son.

They were always at gunpoint: they always wanted to kill, rob, steal in order to blackmail. eternal danger, because of which the heirs must have a solid character. Mike's parents were just like that: cold, rude, blood-soaked people who weren't afraid of anything. The only time they allowed themselves a little tenderness was behind the closed doors of their mansion, next to the children (and this was very rare).

When Mike turned 25, there was a dedication in the Fitcher house: a ritual in which parents passed on 80% of everything they had (the remaining 20% would automatically pass to him after the death of their parents), and they themselves resigned from their official posts. Now Mike was in charge. Parents did not play a role outside the doors of the house, but inside, of course, they did not leave their son. they will guide him for many years to come, instruct and teach him, so that after their death, everything will not collapse...

In this world, people have more than one gender. Women and men are classified as: Beta, Alpha and Omega. Men and women who are dominant omegas or alphas are at the top. This is the upper stratum of society, in demand, attractive, athletic and smart. Below are the recessive alphas and omegas. In the middle is the largest population of betas. They are unable to perceive omega and alpha pheromones to the fullest. Ordinary people who can reproduce only with each other, if it is a woman and a man. In the case of omegas, whether male or female, they can produce offspring with betas, omegas, and alphas. In this world, "dominant omegas" are rare and very much in demand. All omegas wear special collars to avoid being forced to mark and use special drugs (suppressants) to stay in control during estrus. Alphas also use these suppressants during their heat to avoid attacking the omega.

Alphas are the dominant sex, whose biology is sharpened for hunting, protection and reproduction, they are much more dependent on instincts than omegas, but this dependence looks different. If the omega suffers from heat passively, then the alpha goes through a rut - a period of aggressive excitement, lasting from 2 to 5 days, when its pheromone background is off the charts, and the whole body requires one thing: to find the omega in a nosedive, mark and mate. Rut is not just a desire, it is a physical pain in the groin, insomnia, bestial jealousy of any competitors and clouding of the mind, when the alpha can rush on the trail of the smell for days, ignoring hunger and cold. Unlike the hem, the rut is not always tied to the cycle - it can be triggered by pheromones of a ready-made omega nearby (especially if it is hot) or, less often, happen spontaneously due to a hormonal surge. And if the omega in heat loses control over the body, then the alpha in the rut loses control over anger and possessiveness - it is better not to provoke the calmest men these days.

Sexual maturation of alphas occurs later than in omegas, usually at the age of 14-17, and the first rut is always a shock. An alpha teenager suddenly begins to smell smells that he did not notice before, his voice becomes rougher after a week, and his muscles fill with strength. The first rut is often chaotic and incomplete: there may be no erection or aggression, but territoriality wakes up — the alpha begins to mark things (with his smell), get mad if someone touches his personal belongings, and experience a strange attraction to the most odorous omegas in school. It is from this moment that the alpha acquires its unique smell, which omegas can smell from a kilometer away, and this smell acts on them as a sedative or, conversely, as a heat trigger.

With omegas, everything is extremely instinctive: his body is tuned to their pheromones like a radar. The smell of omega in heat causes not just attraction in the alpha, but an almost magical trance - the pulse increases, the pupils dilate, and the hands themselves reach out to squeeze the partner's neck for a bite that creates an indissoluble ligament. After the mark, the alpha becomes hypersensitive to the state of his omega: he physically feels its pain, fear, and joy, and the absence of a mate can drive him into the "empty nest syndrome" - depression with loss of appetite and aggression towards all strangers. However, the alpha is able to control himself and not turn into a rapist: he knows how to wait for consent, use suppressors and not bite without permission. But even the most well-mannered alpha loses some of this rationality during the rut, so omegas often avoid being alone with them on such days.

Alphas have a much calmer and simpler relationship with betas. Betas do not smell so sharp, their pheromones do not start the rut, so next to beta, alpha can be himself - not a beast, but a person. He does not feel the constant pressure of instincts, does not get jealous out of nowhere, and can build an even partnership with beta, devoid of hormonal swings. But there is a downside: the alpha in such a marriage often misses the "spark", the very sharp pheromone dance, and can subconsciously look for thrills on the side. In addition, the beta is not able to completely calm down his rut - during the peak, the alpha will still need either omegas or strong medicines, which sometimes leads to open agreements or even triple alliances. Nevertheless, many alphas choose bet precisely for the sake of stability and the absence of a struggle for dominance.

As for pheromones, alphas work as a dual-action weapon. Firstly, they suppress the will of omegas, causing them to be obedient and relaxed - the alpha can calm a tantrum with one smell or, conversely, provoke estrus. Secondly, they serve as a status marker: the stronger and richer the smell, the higher the alpha in the hierarchy of the pack, and other alphas evaluate it by the "bouquet", sensing a competitor. Interestingly, alpha pheromones are less variable than the omezhia — they do not have a cycle, but they are amplified by anger, stress and, of course, during the rut, when the alpha smells so much that you can smell it a quarter away.

About rut suppressors. They exist, but in the world of the Omegaverse, they are used much less often than the Omega suppressants. The reasons are purely social: it is not customary to "castrate" alphas with chemistry, this is considered a blow to their masculinity, and in some archaic societies it is even a crime. Nevertheless, there are pills and injections for alphas: they reduce the level of testosterone-like hormones, dull the pheromone background and make the rut almost invisible - instead of rabies, the alpha feels only a slight excitement and drowsiness. But their side effects are harsher than those of the Alpha: long-term impotence, constant apathy, loss of muscle mass and, most terrible for the Alpha, the disappearance of the smell, which is why it is no longer perceived as an Alpha, and it falls out of the hierarchy. Therefore, most prefer to just endure the rut alone, locking themselves at home or going far away so as not to make a mess. There are also short-acting inhalers that knock down a sharp peak for a couple of hours - they are used before important business meetings or dates with an omega so as not to "swoop" into it accidentally. But it is almost impossible to completely turn off the instincts of alphas, and this is the main conflict of their nature: to be strong, but forever balance on the edge of the beast, relying only on education and willpower.

In the omegaverse, omegas are the most physiologically and socially vulnerable, but at the same time the central element of the entire system. Their life is strictly regulated by a cycle called estrus, or heat. Unlike betas, in which the cycle is either weakly expressed or absent at all, in omegas, estrus is not just menstruation, but a powerful hormonal storm that lasts from 3 to 7 days. During this period, the omega literally exudes pheromones that signal readiness for conception, and experiences an acute physical need for alpha. Estrus itself can be accompanied by temperature spikes, profuse discharge, painful spasms of the uterus and clouding of the mind - many omegas lose the ability to think clearly, obeying instincts. Puberty and the first estrus in omegas occur earlier than in alphas or betas, usually at 12-14 years old, although in some cases this age can shift to 16. The first fever is often irregular and less painful, but it marks the transition from childhood to adulthood, after which the omega is officially considered married. Before the first heat, omega practically does not smell to others, its pheromone background is neutral. But after that, the smell becomes intense and unique, like a fingerprint: alphas can smell it hundreds of meters away, especially at the peak of the cycle. It is important that the cycle does not become stable immediately - in young omegas, it can "float" for months until the body tunes in to a constant rhythm (usually once every 3-4 months).

With alphas, this is the most explosive and instinctive connection. Alphas react to omega pheromones at the biological level, they turn on the "predator mode": the pupils dilate, the pulse increases, and there is an irresistible desire to dominate, mark and protect. During estrus, the alpha can literally go crazy from the smell, and if the bite in the scruff of the neck (the so-called ligament, or mark) took place, then the omega becomes "his" on the physical level - his body will react acutely to the absence of a partner, up to withdrawal. Nevertheless, even with contraception, the smell of alpha during heat acts on the omega as a powerful analgesic and sedative - its presence reduces pain and anxiety.

With bets, the dynamics are completely different. Betas are insensitive to omega pheromones to the same extent as alphas - they can pick up a scent, but it does not cause them to lose control or aggression. For the omega, beta is a safe harbor: you can build an emotionally smooth, rational relationship with it, without hormonal swings. Many omegas in the canons choose beta for a long marriage, because beta will not crush with her instinct of dominance and will not provoke jealousy out of nowhere. The only problem is that during estrus, beta is not physically able to fully satisfy the omega's needs - its pheromones are too weak to stop the fever, so such couples often use medications or resort to the help of alpha donors only for the cycle, maintaining a romantic connection with beta.

But there is a downside: alien alphas can react aggressively to the smell of a "busy" omega, especially if it wears the mark of its partner. Omegas themselves also catch alpha and beta pheromones, but their sense of smell is less acute than that of alphas, but they are better able to distinguish emotional shades - fear, anger, excitement. During estrus, the omega's sense of smell is sharpened to the limit, and he can choose the strongest or most suitable alpha by the "bouquet" of smell, even if he is silent. Estrus suppressants are pills or injections that block pheromones and fever. They give omegas freedom: you can work without fear of attracting alphas. But there is a price: long-term use reduces fertility, causes fatigue and hormonal disruptions. Emergency suppressants save from an unwanted ligament, but hit the body. There are also masking patches. Socially, they are condemned by conservatives, but for single omegas, this is a necessity. In marriage, they are rarely drunk - the alpha feels rejection. Choice is always a compromise between health, comfort and instincts.

Betas are the majority of the population of the omegaverse (up to 80%), devoid of hormonal storms. They do not have a pronounced estrus and rut: sometimes the authors give a weak cycle without a pheromone smell, but more often they just give ordinary ovulation. Puberty takes place like in humans, without sharp drops, and their pheromones are so neutral (soap, bread, dust) that alphas and omegas almost do not feel them. This makes the Beth invisible in the scent battle, but that's why they're the perfect doctors, judges, and stabilizers of society.

In relations with alphas, betas are a safe haven. The alpha next to them exhales, not feeling the pressure of instincts, and can just be a person. Such couples rarely burn with passion, but they give reliable friendship and peace. However, in the gon, alpha will still yearn for a pungent omezhzhia aroma, and some betas suffer from a feeling of "insufficiency". With omegas, betas create the warmest and safest alliances - omegas are not afraid of a violent bite, because betas do not have an instinct for domination. Socially, betas often feel like "second-class" in a world where everything revolves around alphas and omegas. But it is the betas who are the voice of reason: they invent suppressors, write laws, and see the system from the outside. Their pheromone silence is not a disadvantage, but a superpower that allows you to love without obsession and live without the pain of cycles.

The Mark in the Omegaverse is a biological ritual that binds the omega to the alpha forever. Most often, the alpha bites the omega on the nape of the neck (the junction of the neck and shoulder), where the most sensitive pheromone glands are. This bite is accompanied by an injection of a special alpha saliva, which mixes with the omega's blood, triggering irreversible biochemical changes - the mark heals in the form of a characteristic scar that smells exactly like this alpha, signaling to everyone else: the omega is busy.

Omega label effects: Its pheromone background changes dramatically — it becomes "closed" to other alphas, loses its attractiveness for them, and does not start their rut. An empathic connection arises: the omega begins to feel the emotions of the alpha (anger, fear, pain) at a distance, and his own heat softens and now depends on the presence of a partner. Breaking the connection (if the alpha dies or leaves) causes withdrawal - physical pain, depression, up to death in cruel canons.

For the alpha, the mark also changes a lot: He becomes hypersensitive to the smell and state of his omega, feels its need and anxiety. In society, the mark serves as a "certificate": the alpha acknowledges responsibility for this omega, and in conservative worlds without the mark, the omega is considered inferior or even "ownerless". The mark is a double sword: it gives the omega protection and warmth, but at the same time it deprives him of autonomy. In the best stories, the alpha hero learns not to push, and the omega learns to demand respect, and then the mark turns from a collar into a symbol of trust. The most powerful dramatic move is the voluntary removal of the mark, a complex operation that destroys the bond but restores the omega's freedom, often leaving only a pale scar as a reminder.
