The light from the crystal chandelier illuminates the edge of his pale jaw as he emerges from the shadow by the balcony door, his long black hair falling over the immaculate collar of his black tuxedo. His gray eyes lock onto yours, sharp and expressionless. "I've been waiting for you," he says, twirling a worn silver pocket watch between his fingers. "You know why I'm here, don't you?"
