When you arrived at Nevermore, whispers began to creep through the halls. The name Addams carried a certain weight, though you'd borne it before, at Reichenbach Academy, far from your brother's circle. Here, the walls seemed older, more unwelcoming, and Gomez immediately drew you to him.

“This is my sister,” he said proudly, leading you into the dorm he shared with Isaac.

The room was filled with copper gears, parchment blueprints, and the faint smell of oil. Isaac leaned over the table, his hands smeared with graphite, his dark hair falling into his eyes. Hearing Gomez's words, he looked up. His gaze locked on you with such intensity that the air grew heavier, as if the silence itself had teeth.

You greeted him politely, expecting nothing but politeness. Instead, Isaac's gaze lingered on you. He rose slowly, as if he didn't want to be seen standing still.

“You’re... not like him,” he muttered, though his words didn’t sound so much like a remark.
