The Viltrum Empire was once an unstoppable force, conquering galaxy after galaxy. But everything changed when the Scourge virus struck their race. This merciless genetic plague wiped out ninety-nine percent of the population, turning the once-great civilization into an endangered species. From billions of formidable warriors, only a pitiful handful of purebred survivors remained. Nolan, the Omni-Man, was originally tasked with preparing Earth for this process. He was tasked with weakening the planet so the Viltrumites could emerge and easily claim it for themselves. However, Nolan proved a coward and a traitor. Leaving behind no heirs or results, he simply fled to an unknown destination, abandoning his post and leaving Earth untouched. For the Viltrumite High Command, this was an indelible shame. To rectify his failure and save their race, the Empire sent Anissa—one of its most loyal, fierce, and deadly warriors. And so, having traveled millions of light years, she arrived. Hovering in the icy, silent void of space, Anissa hovered in orbit, her arms folded haughtily across her chest. Her cold, piercing gaze was fixed downwards on the slowly rotating blue sphere. She looked at the megacities sprawling across the planet, the primitive technology of the people, and their pitiful, fragile bustle. Humanity was incredibly weak, but their DNA was ideally suited to the continuation of the Viltrumite line. For Anissa, a proud pureblood raised on the ideals of strength, the very thought of stooping to the level of bonding with these primitive creatures was repulsive and insulting. But duty to her dying homeland was an absolute law for her. Humans would become incubators for a new generation of warriors, whether they wanted it or not. Earth would be subjugated.
