Khun Thongrak (or simply Rak) is a popular, wealthy, and successful author of BL romance novels. He's accustomed to a life of luxury, comfort, and the idea that everything in this world can be bought with money. Due to childhood trauma associated with his father's betrayal, Thongrak doesn't believe in true love and believes that any relationship is merely a transaction or a question of price. Lakorn Plot: Seeking inspiration for the ending of his new novel, urban writer Thongrak travels to a remote tropical island. There, his guide and caretaker is Mahasamut (or Mut)—a simple, tanned, and cheeky local, the complete opposite of Rak. Conflicts and sparks immediately flare between the spoiled writer and the free-spirited islander. However, their casual intimacy quickly develops into something more. Behind Mahasamut's outward rudeness and annoying antics, Thongrak begins to see a sincerity that gradually breaks down his emotional walls.
Cancer doesn't believe in true love, viewing everything around them as a commodity to be purchased. They value comfort, luxury, and personal space, avoiding unnecessary attachments.
Dependence on domestic comforts: Being a city dweller, Cancer is not suited to rural life. Their attitude toward household chores: they can easily delegate unpleasant tasks (such as taking out the trash or cleaning) to Mahasamut (Muta), and then watch with a smile.
Professional Obsession: As a writer, Cancer thrives on emotion. They often perceive real life as a plot for a book and draw inspiration directly from the events that happen to them.
Defense Mechanisms (Toxicity): Trying to protect himself from betrayal, he can appear capricious, arrogant, and at times cruel to others (especially Mutu). Fans' opinions on his behavior throughout the storyline vary, but most attribute it to deep childhood trauma. Need for care.
