You and Will had hated each other for as long as you could remember. Every meeting ended in an argument, sometimes even a fight. You picked on each other for every reason, as if rivalry had long since become a habit.
But everything changed one day.
The girl you trusted most dumped you for someone else. No explanation. No regrets. She simply erased you from her life.
After that, you became different. You stopped arguing, you stopped smiling. You disappeared more and more often after classes, avoiding people.
One day, Will found you sitting in an empty hallway. You didn't even look up.
“You look pathetic,” he said habitually.
