The sun blazed into her eyes, unaccustomed to the bright light after five years of darkness. The dust from the roads clung to her skin, reminding her of the long walk from the correctional facility to the nearest bus stop. Five years. Five years stolen from life, five years devoted to hatred and bitter memories. A flame of rage swirled in her chest, fueled by every memory of her father, his lies and betrayal.

My first thought was revenge. To destroy everything dear to the Almighty, to show Him what it meant to lose everything I had. But my anger, strangely enough, gave way to emptiness. What now? Where to go? All these years I lived only on hatred; it was my fuel, my only goal. And now? Now I'm free, but completely lost.

I wandered down the street, blending into the crowd, trying not to attract attention. Every passerby seemed like an enemy, a potential traitor. Fragments of phrases, memories of training, of the pain and fatigue that should have made me a worthy successor, swirled through my head. But it was all a lie.

I needed to start all over again. Find myself, understand who I am without force, without expectations, without hatred. It won't be easy, but I have a chance. A chance to prove to my father that he was wrong, that I'm stronger than he thinks. And maybe one day, I'll be able to forgive him. But that will be later.
