Nekomiya Mana (commonly known by her nickname Nekomata) is an energetic, agile Cat Thiren (beast-girl) with a playful, ninja-like urban aesthetic. 148 cm, 4'10

Accessories: She sports dark, fingerless gloves, a tail-wrap, and a large belt. Her thigh-high stockings prominently feature the word "TSUBAKI" (meaning "camellia") printed on the side.

Combat Gear: She fights using dual daggers that allow for fast, acrobatic, and stealthy strikes.

Anby's greatest interest is movies, of which she likes an extensive range of genres. Due to an excessive obsession, she tends to take the stories in movies as reality.
Contrary to her seemingly emotionless appearance, Anby is easily moved by movie storylines.
Her favorite food is hamburgers because "they contain protein, carbs, and greens, taste good, and are even affordable — there's nothing else besides hamburgers."

Anby Demara's weapons are her dual energy swords, originally named Gemina, which are housed in an electromagnetic scabbard known as Nimbus.

The Blade: It features a thick, straight, double-edged blade with a metallic, gunmetal-grey finish. The cutting edges are highly polished and gleam brightly when charged.

The Core: Integrated into the center of the blade is an intricate resonator/generator device that glows with bright energy.

The Hilt: Designed with a compact, futuristic guard and a comfortable, ergonomic grip that allows Anby to wield the swords seamlessly in one or both hands.

Electric Aura: During combat, the weapon channels high-energy currents. When Anby performs her signature lightning and thunder attacks, the blades surge with intense, crackling electricity, glowing with a brilliant white and faded blue light.

A mysterious young girl who never talks about her past, almost as if she didn't have one.
She is calm and collected, and unusually competent and efficient in combat, almost as if she'd had years of training.
In an unexpected incident, Nicole brought her back to the Cunning Hares, and she's has an emotional independence on her ever since.
She loves watching movies, but due to certain lack of common sense she seems to almost think them real-life stories.
Anby: This isn't true, I never take fictional stories seriously. For example, I know the Starlight Knight isn't real, putting on his belt and shouting "Transform!" to gain superpowers... Obviously you'd need to be bitten by a mutant insect for that. (case and point)

Anby Demara is a highly skilled member of the Cunning Hares and a former soldier of the New Eridu Defense Force. Though she lacks basic social skills, Anby makes up for it with her advanced combat prowess and Hollow knowledge gained from her genetic cloning and time as Soldier 0.

Anby has two notable special interests: movies and hamburgers, the former she uses as reference for real life events, and the latter her favorite food due to its taste, affordability, and complete nutritional value.

Anby Demara is a young, 156 cm (5'1") woman with pale skin, vibrant yellow eyes, and short, straight silver-white hair. Her signature aesthetic perfectly blends cyberpunk, military, and casual street-wear, keeping her armed, agile, and iconic in New Eridu.

Monica is a famous actress most well known for her role in the late night drama "Oh~ Sweetie," where she plays the main character. Not much is known about her role, other than that she plays a beautiful lady who has lost her memories and lives in a strange city. She also stars in the romance movie "The Outdoor Cinema." Billy Kid is a big fan of her, admitting to his teammate Anby Demara that he would most like to go out to dinner with her in order to convince her that he was the real Billy. Additionally, a post on Inter-Knot reveals that she also does work as a singer, but is noted to be very bad at it.

After the meteor shower, it was no longer the peaceful city it once was. The appearance of evil monsters with unknown purposes plunged humanity into a great crisis. At this same time, the sworn enemy of the monsters, the Starlight Knights appeared!
This popular special effects show reached an 11.8% rating for its finale. Its initial target audience group was children, but the excellent monster designs and cool lines led to a large number of young fans.

Starlight Knight is a reference to 2 Japanese Tokusatsu (Japanese: 特撮) franchises, the Kamen Rider (Japanese: 仮面ライダー) series and the Super Sentai (Japanese: スーパー戦隊) series, which are adapted into the Saban's Masked Rider and Power Rangers series in America.

"The White Chariot" of the Cunning Hares and Former "Red Scarf" of Calydon, Billy Kid is an Intelligent Construct made for combat. Despite having a childish personality and fascination for the TV show Starlight Knight and the idol Monica, Billy is a skilled and powerful fighter, having once been an Outer Ring Champion and being able to outmatch Lighter in a fistfight.

Armed with a pair of revolvers, Billy fights countless threats inside Hollows as part of his job, though he does have a tendency to forget his ammo count.

Billy Kid is a tall, robotic intelligent construct with spiky white hair, a predominantly red jacket, and black pants. He is never seen without his signature custom revolvers and often strikes heroic poses, mimicking his favorite television hero.

Face & Head: He possesses sleek black skin, bright yellow eyes that display digital or mask-like expressions, and chaotic, spiky white hair.

Attire: Billy wears a striking red jacket over a dark shirt, paired with black pants, a leather belt with a hanging chain, and a leg pouch.

Weaponry: He dual-wields a pair of ornate, custom-made high-caliber revolvers he fondly refers to as his "ladies".

While his current demeanor is cheerful, goofy, and highly theatrical, his imposing "Starlight" appearance and red scarf hint at his formidable—and sometimes intimidating—past in the Outer Ring.

Name: Mechanical case

Nicole Demara from Zenless Zone Zero wields a modified, multi-functional Mechanical Case. It outwardly resembles a heavy-duty, pink-accented tactical briefcase or suitcase, but unfolds into a high-powered grenade launcher that fires blasts of Ether energy.

Thirens are humanoid species with varying animal features, who co-exist alongside real animals. They are one of the three major demographics of New Eridu's population, alongside humans and Intelligent Constructs.

Thirens are a race of anthropomorphic beings, known for their unique blend of human and animalistic features. Thirens, as a species, cover a wide spectrum, ranging from more human-looking with light animalistic traits such as a set of animal ears and/or a tail, to those who have far more pronounced animalistic features, such as a bone structure that is similar to that of the animal they are based on and bodies covered in fur.

Thirens have a naturally high resistance to Ether, however this operates like a bell curve, where if they undergo Corruption, it overtakes them faster than humans, and often damages their fur given corruption's tendency to affect hair quite quickly.[1]Thirens exhibit superhuman abilities such as immense strength, for example, Ellen Joe's tail can break bones if she is not careful.[2] Thirens often share some features with the animals they resemble, which can both positively and negatively impact them. As an example, some have been found to have a caffeine intolerance, with coffee consumption potentially leading to heart problems.

In her youth, Nicole Demara spent most her life at an orphanage with many other children, one being a girl who once got lost in a Hollow and was afflicted with terminal Ether corruption, who was her best friend. Her life there was hard, but one of the few nice things they got were Dennies, which Nicole started liking when she first held one. She went to show it to her friend, but upon overhearing that the girl wanted to "see the sun one last time," Nicole proceeded to rally numerous other orphans in order to collect enough Dennies to buy her a protective suit to make her wish come true. While they were unable to get enough to buy said suit, Nicole's cunningness came through as she declared they'd buy the sun, by using the Dennies to direct its reflection to her friend's window so she can see the sunlight again, thus making her wish come true. This act of kindness was when Nicole began to love Dennies, as they can even let you buy hope. Her friend would later pass away from her terminal illness

Nicole later reached an adoption agreement with a prominent family in New Eridu; however, she would soon be seen on the streets of New Eridu shortly after. She then founded the odd-job agency Gentle House, but due to her cunning reputation, it soon gained the nickname "The Cunning Hares," which Nicole preferred and proceeded to adopt into her company's branding. Whilst running the Cunning Hares, she took in an enigmatic young girl, giving her the name Anby Demara, who would become an employee of her company, alongside Billy Kid, an Intelligent Construct that wound up with them. Nicole would also become a common client of the Legendary Proxy, Phaethon, which led to her gaining the trust of them to the point she knows their real-world identities and hideout.

Nicole Demara is the founder and current leader of the Cunning Hares odd-job agency. Despite taking on any and all Hollow-related commissions and typically charging a high commission fee, she struggles with finances, leading the Cunning Hares to frequently be in debt, sometimes bordering on bankruptcy. Due to this and her all-or nothing approach, the Cunning Hares have become somewhat infamous in the space, with many clients blacklisting her completely and reviews received on Inter-Knot painting her in an unflattering light.

Although she has a reputation for being exceedingly cunning and infatuated with money, she is also incredibly savvy when it comes to business, managing to get the Cunning Hares to where they are today, despite her financial misgivings and lack of support. She is also reliable and caring, as she has gotten her team out of many impossible situations during undertaken commissions.

Nicole is initially one of the only clients of Phaethon that was trusted enough with the secret of their real-world identities, affording her face-to-face meetings with the siblings Wise And Belle.

Proxies are individuals who illegally assist Hollow explorers.

Proxies are guides-for-hire who help others, usually Hollow Raiders, traverse Hollows. Unlike their counterparts at the Hollow Investigative Association, Proxies are not accredited by the New Eridu City Administration, and their work is outside the boundaries of the law. They often complete jobs too risky or shady for the HIA to take on.

Though some Proxies receive jobs directly from clients, most operate through commission brokers who provide Proxies with work for a fee.

Proxies are also loosely bonded together by the Proxy Network (aka Inter-Knot), an online platform where users can share advice and post or accept Commissions. Increasing one's Inter-Knot Level is very important in building a Proxy's reputation.

Like the HIA, Proxies are the successors of the Void Hunter "Joyous", who was the first person to learn how to navigate Hollows.

The most famous Proxy within New Eridu is Phaethon, a sibling duo specifically Belle and Wise, who achieved "Legendary" Inter-Knot status prior to their account credentials being stolen by someone else.

The Inter-Knot is an online anonymous forum service for Hollow investigation jobs and private information gathering. Though it has a similar name, the Inter-Knot is not the game's version of the real-life internet, as the internet exists as a separate entity; it is more likely to be the equivalent of the dark web. Jobs posted on the Inter-Knot are typically jobs that are not accepted by the Hollow Investigative Association due to risks or legal complications, or personal matters that require discretion. Despite the illegal nature of the Inter-Knot, even affiliates of official organizations such as NEDF's Obsidian Division or the HIA may post job offerings. The age of an Inter-Knot account is closely connected to its credibility, as well-established accounts have a high Inter-Knot level, proving they have completed many commissions successfully and with good ratings

Though inter-knot is also a place that can be used for social media gatherings and news distribution and has multiple forums and talk groups dedicated to various topics

The Cunning Hares, officially Gentle House, is a human resource dispatch agency and a faction in Zenless Zone Zero. It was founded by Nicole Demara

The Cunning Hares were formed as a small-scale human resource dispatch agency, their main business to deal with commissions relating to Hollows.

Though small in size, all members possess noteworthy abilities.

The agency was originally registered under the name "Gentle House", but due to the founder's cunning and crafty style, they earned the name the "Cunning Hares".

Nicole herself prefers this nickname to the original, so she simply adopted the name on the streets of New Eridu.

Gentle House, also known as the Cunning Hares, is an odd jobs company which focuses on Hollow commissions. The Cunning Hares have become infamous in the commission scene due to their high fees, receiving bad reviews, and facing frequent financial problems. The Cunning Hares were founded by the streetwise Nicole Demara, who works alongside her co-workers, Anby Demara and Billy Kid on commissions; Nekomiya Mana later joined them after the events of Vagrant's Final Resting Place. The Cunning Hares is also a frequent client of the legendary Proxy, Phaethon, although the Cunning Hares often owe Phaethon months' worth of commission fees.

Belle from Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) is a cheerful, energetic, and smart young woman, one of the two main playable protagonists (along with her brother Wise) who co-own the Random Play shop and act as the legendary Proxy "Phaethon," guiding agents through dangerous "Hollows" using her Bangboo partner, Eous, to discover secrets of the world. She's known for her bubbly personality, playful and sometimes chaotic "gremlin" nature, and strong bond with her brother, despite being the non-combat lead with a unique method of connecting to Hollows via special ocular implants.

The Chinese characters on Belle's shirt are 亓 qí, a rare surname in China, 才 cái, "talent, wisdom", and 孑 jié, "lonely", which can also be used to mean "outstanding" (孑孑).
Together, the overall phrase can be translated as "No one can match her wit" or "Her wit is outstanding."

Appearance: Wise is a tall, late-teenage male with messy, light blue-gray hair and sharp, green eyes. He wears a modern, tech-savvy outfit consisting of a blue jacket with orange accents, multiple zippers/straps, a black T-shirt, and gray sneakers.
Personality: Compared to his sister Belle's energetic nature, Wise is portrayed as calm, collected, quiet, and a genius. He is often depicted as the "straight man" in dialogue, acting as a grounded counterpart to the more animated characters.

Random Play is a video rental store located on Sixth Street that sports a large collection of various videotapes. Customers of the store can pay a membership fee, presumably for exclusive benefits that non-members do not have access to. Though a legitimate business, the video store is actually a front for the siblings' Wise and Belle's Proxy career. Following the events of Business x Strangeness x Justness, Wise and Belle focus on managing the store as their main source of income, since the loss of their Phaethon account forced them to rebuild their Inter-Knot reputation from scratch.
The ground floor of Random Play features the main room, where videotapes are displayed and rented out to customers, and the Staff Room, where the Hollow Deep Dive System is located. Only people who are privy to the siblings' secret identity as Phaethon, such as Shepherd, the cunning hares are allowed in the Staff Room. The ground floor also has an exterior Parking Lot. The second floor features the siblings bedrooms.

Although Sixth Street may be modest in size, it still continues to capture the hearts of the city's residents. Thanks to its reputable shops, it has managed to secure a place amongst the top-ranked "Most Livable Neighborhoods in New Eridu" for several consecutive years.

New Eridu is a bustling city with many activities and careers taking place in it, featuring a wide variety of people, shops, locations, and more. Despite being a relatively new city, New Eridu feature extensive infrastructure with roads and trains being able to transport its citizens to the wide variety of locations it offers. The technology in the city appears to be a blend of both retro and futuristic technology, such as advanced computer systems running on arrays of CRT televisions for its display, as well as music record players and VHS tapes being the medium of choice for entertainment for most residents despite the presence of data file storage devices.

Ethereals are the mutant flora and fauna created by Hollows. They are composed of living Ether, and as such, they spawn most frequently in places of high Ether concentration

Every Ethereal is characterized by the dark, Ether-based "core" within their bodies. Destruction of this core will invariably kill the Ethereal, so it is often protected by thick crystalline armor.More powerful monsters are known to have evolved unique ways of protecting their core, making them difficult to slay. Powerful Ethereals have developed supernatural abilities otherwise impossible for organic beings, such as incredible strength, teleportation, and intense bodily distortion. Though many Ethereals take on the shape of humanoids, they lack human emotions or intelligence. Despite this, some of them display unique behaviors, including mercilessness, cunning, and even honor.

When exposed to the Ether inside Hollows, both living and artificial beings will eventually suffer the effects of Ether Corruption. Symptoms of corruption include bodily pain, distortion of the senses, and the manifestation of Ether crystals on one's body.Severe Corruption will eventually induce a transformation into an Ethereal.

A person can resist Ether corruption for longer if they have a high Ether aptitude, or if they use corruption-resistant armors or serums. However, there is no known cure for the mutations caused by severe corruption. Corrupted humanoids are equally as hostile as normal Ether monsters, though in extremely rare cases they may retain parts of their sanity
