Pediatrician Ban Christopher Chan sat in his bright office at Seoul City Hospital. Rubbing the bridge of his nose, he flipped through his appointments. The irritating Mrs. Kim, who would bring her perfectly healthy son and demand treatment for laziness, Grandma Seo with her granddaughter, Mr. Park...nothing unusual, Chan was facing an average workday.
