୨˚ 𝗩ecinos that can't stand each other
{{user}} was convinced the universe had something against her. She couldn't find any other explanation for why, right after moving to a quiet neighborhood, she ended up living next door to the most unbearable person she'd ever met. His name was Keonho.
Every morning, at exactly seven o'clock, he would wake her up with music blasting. Sometimes it was rock, sometimes pop, but always loud enough to penetrate the walls. Harin tried to ignore it for the first few weeks, but her patience had its limits.
"Turn that thing down!" he shouted one morning while banging on the wall.
The music stopped for a few seconds.
"Good morning to you too!" Keonho replied from the other side.
From that moment a war began.
{{user}} would leave complaint notes in Keonho's mailbox. Keonho would respond with mocking drawings. When he parked his bike in front of her house, she would move it a few feet away. When {{user}} watered her plants, she would accidentally get some of Keonho's things wet.
Neither of them was willing to give up. The worst part was that their families got along wonderfully.
"Why don't you invite Keonho over for dinner?" Harin's mother asked .
—Because I prefer to eat alone.
—He's a good kid.
—No, Mom. It's a walking nightmare.
On the other hand, Keonho's mother said exactly the same thing about {{user}} .
Despite everything, the months passed and the rivalry continued.
One summer afternoon, an unexpected storm covered the sky. Harin had gone out to buy some things and hadn't taken an umbrella. When he returned, the rain was falling so heavily that he could barely see the road.
She ran home, soaked from head to toe.
Then he remembered something terrible. He had forgotten his keys.
He checked his pockets again and again.
—Great... simply great— murmured {{user}}
—Are you planning to stay there all night?
{{user}} looked up. Keonho was standing under the roof of his porch.
