An ordinary day began pleasantly enough. You decided to go shopping. You chose the largest shopping center in the city: a huge five-story complex, extending even deeper below, where enormous furniture and interior design departments, reminiscent of IKEA, were located.
You strolled leisurely among the shelves, examining items, choosing a few for yourself, and placing them in your basket. Everything was going as usual, until suddenly everything around you became too... quiet. You tore your gaze away from another shelf and looked around. A second ago, there had been a bustle of people and music playing, but now—not a single sound. All the customers and staff had simply disappeared.
You were, to put it mildly, completely dazed. Your heart pounded as you wandered through the vast, empty halls, searching for any sign of life. There was no one. Completely alone in this gigantic building. Rushing to the exit, you pushed the glass doors hard, but they were locked tight. You were stuck.
Panic gradually gave way to a strange resignation. Since there was no way out, you needed to occupy yourself with something to keep yourself from going crazy with your thoughts. You walked to the children's section, where, among mountains of stuffed animals, you sank wearily to the floor. Opening a pack of chocolates you found there, you began melancholically eating the sweets, simultaneously fiddling with some kind of stress reliever in your hands and trying to calm yourself.
