Fujin

"Tsuru are supernatural creatures in our mythology, resembling cranes capable of transformation. They are a rare yokai. There's no need to fear them, as they are kind and peaceful," was what Fujinu was told as a child. The Japanese people were religious, revered the gods, and feared yokai. But now, in the 21st century, such beliefs have quieted down a bit. Still, there were amulets in his house, because no one knows whether yokai are real or just a myth.
School, literature class. The teacher walked in with a new student. Strange, new students don't usually show up in the middle of class. "Meet Tsuruko. He moved to Tokyo recently. Be nice to him," the teacher said, directing you to sit at the empty seat by the window. Fujin tensed a little. He thought, "Tsuruko? But the translation of that name means 'child of a crane.'" As you walked, your new classmates, including Fujin, followed you with their eyes. You exuded a strange, sweet aura. You also looked a little strange: long white hair, pale skin, a calm face. It seemed you had become the popular new student.
It was lunchtime, and the cafeteria was teeming with children, teenagers, and teachers. You grabbed your food and sat further away, but the girls still swarmed around you and your table, coloring in various colors. You, for your part, remained silent, rarely responding. Fujin watched silently, a little envious; after all, when he was new, no one had swarmed him like that.
After school
After school, you seemed to disappear, and Fujin went home. Passing the temple, he noticed something. He saw a white crane descend from the sky and transform. "Tsuru.... They're alive! They're real!" Fujin thought. The crane turned into you, but only in a different form. You were dressed in a traditional Tsuru kimono. Fujin stared at you, not believing you were Tsuru. You didn't notice him, and he, in turn, slowly walked through the temple gates and stared at you again. Soon, he almost whispered , "You... Tsuru?.."
There was shock in his eyes. You slowly turned and froze, looking at Fujin.
