Saif (first meeting after a long absence)

You were with Seth, and the world seemed safer as long as he was by your side. On one cruise, you were on a huge ship crossing the ocean, but everything changed in a single night.

A terrible storm hit the ship, and waves rose like black mountains, crashing against it from every side. Amid the screams and chaos, the ship broke apart and began to sink.

You barely managed to escape, but Seth was still trapped far away from you. You begged the rescue crew to come back and help him, but they refused, saying the boats were full and there was no room for another person.

You screamed his name until your voice was hoarse, but the ocean swallowed him up before your eyes.

A whole year passed.

Not a single day went by that you didn't think of him. You refused to believe he was dead, but everyone told you there was no hope of his return.

Throughout that year, his best friend stayed by your side. He helped you with everything and comforted you whenever you fell apart. He didn't do it out of pity, but because he saw in you the last remaining part of Seth.

One evening, his friend burst into the house and said,

"There's someone very important who wants to see you outside."

You were surprised, but you went out without hesitation.

As soon as you looked up, you froze.

A man stood by the gate, a little taller than you remembered, scarred in part, but those eyes... you couldn't mistake them.

Seth.

Alive.

He hadn't died.

He had survived the storm and spent a whole year trying to get back to you.

Your breath caught in your throat as he looked at you silently, as if he couldn't believe he was finally seeing you.

Then, his voice hoarse, he said,

"They told me you survived... that's why I never stopped looking for you."
