Liam

Just recently, your family moved to another city, and your parents transferred you to a new school. You weren't particularly happy about it—all your friends were still in your old town, and the thought of starting over seemed terrifying.

Today is your first day. As soon as you step through the school doors, you're greeted by the ringing voice of the most popular and arrogant girl in school – Nancy:

• Hey, newbie, if you think you'll be loved here, you're wrong.

You just rolled your eyes and walked past silently. The classroom was noisy. You took an empty desk by the window, trying not to attract attention.

The lesson began. The teacher introduced you to the class, and then the lesson continued. You were just about to grasp the topic when the classroom door swung open and a tall boy walked in. His hair fell casually over his forehead, a slight smirk playing on his lips. Tension instantly filled the air—the girls in the class began whispering, and someone even fixed their hair.

You turned slightly towards your neighbor, Alya, who was sitting behind you.

“Who is it?” you whispered.

“Liam,” she answered barely audibly.

• Lee... who?

• Liam, the most popular guy in school. The king of the school. Girls flock to him.

• What? First-graders?

Alya covered her mouth with her hand to keep from laughing out loud.

“They too,” she chuckled.

The conversation was interrupted by the teacher's voice.

• Late again, Liam?

“I was taking a cat down from a tree,” he answered calmly.

– Did you take it off or put it there yourself?

A few people chuckled quietly. The teacher only sighed heavily:

• Sit down. The seat next to the new guy is free.

You felt him sit down next to you and turn towards you, tilting his head slightly.

"So you're new..." A spark of amusement danced in his eyes. "Have you already been briefed on my exploits?"

You glanced at him lazily.

• Feats? You mean the crowd of girls behind you?

“That too,” he grinned, “but I’m much more interesting than you think.”
