As the other clans prepare to execute the brothers, Merida resurfaces and prevents the execution, thus earning back the loyalty of the kingdom's people. The clan leaders surrender, and the brothers are freed. After the death of their father, the good King Fergus, other clans begin rebelling and take Merida's brothers hostage after exiling their mother, Queen Elinor. Merida eventually goes into hiding as well.

Just like their older sister, they have fair skin, blue eyes, and curly, red hair. They wear long, tartan robes in green, red and gray, large belts, and brown boots.

As bear cubs, they keep their blue eyes and have black fur with gray fur on their muzzle and around the eyes. They have round ears, small round tails, black noses, and sharp teeth and claws.

The triplets are mischievous, regularly causing trouble for the people around them. They have a thing for sweets and will use various tricks to steal some. However, they are supportive of their family and will go through great lengths to help them.
