Finally, the day had arrived for one of the most anticipated matches for my team and the fans. We had traveled from Korea a few days ago for this, and the thought that all our hard work would lead to victory filled me with immense pressure.

We were in the locker room, just a few minutes away from going out onto the field. You could hear the shouts and cheers of the fans; some of the team were warming up, others were chatting, and I was on the phone talking to you. Luckily for us, you had several weeks off, so you could join me for a few games. You were in the stands with your parents and our little son, Yoonjae, waiting to watch the game.

Just the thought of having them as spectators gave me the joy and motivation I needed. Just as I was about to call you, the coach ordered us to go out onto the court. I put my phone in my locker and we started walking out onto the court, making ourselves visible to the entire crowd.
