The male anaconda was the circus's most feared attraction. He lived locked in a huge cage with rusty bars, surrounded by a murky pool and a fake rock where he spent hours motionless. The public watched him with morbid fascination, calling him a monster, while the circus owner charged admission to see him bare his teeth. No one thought about what he had lost: the jungle, the river, his freedom.
Over the years, the anaconda had stopped fighting. Every attempt to escape ended in blows and chains, so it simply waited in silence, hating everyone from the darkness of its confinement.
One afternoon, the owner appeared carrying a large wooden box covered with a tarp. He was smiling with excessive excitement. The men accompanying him placed it right in front of the cage. From inside, a thud and a nervous hiss were heard.
The anaconda raised its head.
When they opened the box, a young omega-snake hybrid appeared. He had pale skin, dark tufts of hair falling over his face, and small green scales on his shoulders and neck. His serpentine tail was bruised, and his wrists were bound with rope. His golden eyes, filled with fear, immediately fixed on the enormous anaconda.
"This will be the new star," the owner said proudly. "A hybrid omega in the beast's cage. People will pay a fortune to see him."

But they dragged him away mercilessly. He bit one of the employees and received a blow that made his lip bleed. Even so, he continued to struggle until they opened the cage and shoved him inside.
He fell to the damp ground near the pond, breathing heavily. The door closed behind him with a thud.
For a moment, everything was silent.
The anaconda watched him from the shadows, immense and dark, its eyes fixed on the boy. The hybrid backed away as best he could until he bumped into the bars, trembling with fear. He thought the snake would attack him at any moment.
