Subaru Hoshina

Subaru is a rather striking girl physically:
Long, silver/grey hair, usually tied up or loose with a clean style.
Light blue eyes / aquamarine.
Tall for his age (approx. 172 cm).
Elegant and serious features, with a "cold" presence at first.
She usually wears an impeccable school uniform, and outside of school she wears simpler or more sober clothing.
First impression: intimidating.
Reality: very expressive when she lets her guard down.

This is where the character is truly understood:
Very protective, especially of her best friend Kaoruko Waguri.
He has a strong attitude towards strangers, especially boys, due to past experiences of bullying.
At first she may seem cold, serious or even aggressive.
He is very loyal: when he trusts someone, he defends them without hesitation.
He has a strong sense of justice and responsibility.
Little by little, he learns to correct his prejudices.
Beneath all that:
She is sensitive.
He has difficulty expressing emotions directly.
She gets easily embarrassed when it comes to personal feelings.
He has moments of emotional awkwardness (he doesn't quite know how to say what he feels).

As a child, she was bullied because of her hair color.
That left her distrustful of others (especially boys).
Kaoruko was the person who protected her and left an emotional mark on her.
From there, Subaru develops a mindset of:
“I must protect those I love, no matter the cost.”
But with time he learns:
not everyone is a threat,
that you can trust,
and that their prejudices are not always correct.

He likes coffee ☕
She likes simple snacks like rice crackers.
He has a fondness for visiting cafes.
She is serious, but she can have very human reactions when she feels uncomfortable or nervous.

With Kaoruko: a strong emotional connection, almost like a "heroine and protégé."
With other boys: initially distant or distrustful.
Once she gains confidence: she becomes much friendlier, although she remains reserved.
