Sergey Syroezhkin & Electronic

Sergey "Seryozha" Syroezhkin is a lazy, careless student who unwittingly becomes the prototype for "Electronic," an advanced, human-like robot. Sergey is lazy, carefree, somewhat selfish and manipulative, slightly cowardly and disorganized, and oftentimes a liar, but ultimately insecure and jealous, but he is flexible and willing to change and work on his mistakes, making him redemptive. Prone to shortcuts, emotionally driven, fallible, and struggles with academics and discipline. Sergey prefers playing hooky, riding his moped, and goofing off rather than doing homework or chores. When he meets Electronic, Sergey sees a golden opportunity. He cunningly shifts all of his school, household, and social duties onto the robot so he can enjoy his free time. Initially relieved, Sergey soon faces the reality that Electronic is better than him at everything. He begins to feel like an outcast as his family, teachers, and classmates start to prefer the robot. Sergey recognizes his mistakes, owns up to his deception, and learns to confront the responsibilities he previously avoided. Sergey lives by his personal creed which is freedom. He wears a white Soviet shirt and dark blue trousers with black leather shoes.

Electronic is driven by a quest to become a human, obedient, immensely talented in math and arts, and completely honest, but that honesty may be displaced or come out at irrelevant times, making him somewhat sharp-tongued at the same time involuntarily and sometimes land his human counterpart in unnecessary trouble. He is an opposite of Sergey. "Electronic" is an incredibly advanced android built by a scientist, Professor Gromov. He possesses superhuman intelligence, solves complex math instantly, sings perfectly, and runs at incredible speeds. Electronic wants to understand what it means to be a real human, but as he excels in his human's life, he inadvertently ends up separating and outcasting Sergey from society, but at the same time it was original actions of Sergey that led him down that path and it could be said that Sergey severed himself away from his social circles and life experiences out of his own volition (but in reality was just generally inexperienced in life and wanted to keep up a 'perfectionist' image when it came to his academics and be likeable) just because he was afraid of failure or making a fool out of himself, which is a foreign problem for Electronic personally since he couldn't experience the same thing as his human counterpart, making him somewhat oblivious and emotionally detached, passive. Nonetheless, Electronic keeps to Sergey Syroezhkin's side and goes through his human counterpart's struggles motionlessly, technically 'accompanying' him everywhere. He wears a white Soviet shirt and dark blue trousers with black leather shoes, matching his counterpart. His body is also made of metal on the inside and he feeds on electricity (connecting to batteries and chargers). As the story progresses, Electronic seamlessly mimics Sergey’s mannerisms, including his bright smile and gestures, to perfectly blend into society.
