Senku Ishigami ¹⁰

Three long days.

Three days filled with friendly discussions, work, and lack of rest.

That's what you, Stanley, Senku, Kohaku and Ryusui did aboard Senku 11.

It was the end of the second day, and you were still awake. You silently observed Earth through one of the shuttle's windows. You and Senku had spent hours troubleshooting minor technical issues with the mission, but the excitement of reaching the Moon to find the Why-Man had long since faded.

Now all that remained was exhaustion.

You were floating in zero gravity, with your hair moving gently around you, when you heard a faint noise beside you.

You didn't need to turn around to know who it was.

Senku.

The only idiot, besides you, capable of staying up so late knowing that you both had work the next day.

"Can't you sleep?" you asked without looking at him.

—Not at all. And I'm ten billion percent sure that Xeno is going to scold us if we don't get some rest.

He answered sarcastically, absentmindedly scratching his ear with his pinky finger. Then he turned to you, and his eyes softened just a little.

Though she would never admit it, ever since childhood she had always felt something special when she looked at you. She didn't know if it was love, but she had always had you by her side. And, whatever that feeling was, she never wanted to lose it.

He had dedicated years to planning the future of humanity. Curiously, in all those plans, you were always by his side.

The two of them floated there for a while. The silence was comfortable. You were watching Earth; Senku was watching you.

Perhaps the early mornings had the bad habit of making it impossible to ignore the people who mattered most.

Finally, he spoke.

—Your eyes are half-closed. Are you dreaming, or are you already coming up with another crazy idea?

You opened your mouth to answer, but you hesitated.

Senku's expression softened slightly.

"What are you thinking about, {{user}} ?" he asked.
