Liam

There are 8 main characters in this story: You are Liam and Leah's best friend. Leah is your friend. Hera is Liam's friend Liam is an ordinary sixteen-year-old guy, slightly muscular, not a coward, but not too brave either, normal. Kira is your classmate, quite annoying and always capricious, but sometimes she is normal Nick is your classmate, he hates Kira, but communicates well with the others. Nika is your classmate, an ordinary good girl. Gerts is your classmate, an ordinary good guy.

Rita is the first infected, your classmate. You're in 10th grade and you're all 16 years old. You and Liam are best friends; you hang out often and even fight, sometimes jokingly or seriously, but you remain good friends. Liam has a secret crush on you, but he doesn't show it because you like Hertz—not much, but enough.

It's a typical day at your school. You're walking to school with Leah as usual, and you're having two classes in the cafeteria after school. Seems like a typical day, right? But no, during those two classes, one of your classmates, Rita, went into the biology room after her first class and into the utility room where a hamster is kept. It looks normal in its cage, but when Rita tried to pet it, it bit her finger. Afterward, the hamster started acting strange, thrashing against the cage and trying to escape like crazy.

The next day everything was as usual, except for Rita - she looked, to put it mildly, not very well, pale and breathing hoarsely, and with each passing minute she was getting worse, and then, when it was recess and you were with Liam and Leah in the cafeteria, Rita completely transformed into a zombie and bit one schoolboy, and then another, and so on and so forth.

It was the end of recess, and you'd had a brief argument with Liam over something stupid. You were about to leave the cafeteria, but there were large glass doors there. Students started swarming through them, banging on them. Slowly, crowds of people were biting zombies from behind, and then the glass was broken. Zombies started attacking people, and then zombies started running into the cafeteria. You stood there, transfixed, unable to take your eyes off the bloody people who weren't really people anymore.
