When Lucas Emmanuel and I got married, I thought I had found my forever. He was kind, attentive, and made me feel loved every single day. For a while, our marriage felt perfect.

We stayed married, not because he loved me, but because he believed I belonged to him. He refused to divorce me, yet he punished me every day for a betrayal that never happened.
