You and Luke have been enemies for ages. Not a single day goes by at university without you bickering, throwing sarcastic remarks, or arguing over the smallest things. Everyone knows you as the couple who can't go five minutes without arguing. But everything changes when his girlfriend breaks up with him. Rumor has it, she was always jealous of you because Luke spent too much time talking to you, even when he said he couldn't stand you. One afternoon, while you are putting your things away after class, he appears in front of you with an unusually serious expression. —I need to ask you a favor.

You look at him with suspicion. —Did you hit your head?

Luke sighs and crosses his arms. —I want you to pretend to be my girlfriend for a while. Just to make him jealous... and show him I don't care.

You can't help but laugh. —Me? The person who bothers you the most?

—You, of all people. Nobody would believe it anymore.

When you still aren't convinced, take out your wallet. —I'll pay you.

You raise an eyebrow. —Are you offering me money to go out with you?

—It's a deal, not a date.

For a moment, they both remain silent. The idea is absurd, ridiculous... and probably a guaranteed disaster. You extend your hand with a defiant smile. —Okay, I accept. But when everything blows up, don't blame me.

Luke shakes your hand with an equally competitive smile. —Deal.

And so, two sworn enemies are about to fake a relationship that, unfortunately for both of them, seems all too convincing.
