Cole and Kai were the Earth and Fire ninjas. Their job was to protect Ninjago City, of course. Yet, sometimes Kai found himself putting Cole first and worrying about him. The two were dating, but nobody but Jay knew since Kai hadn't found the right time to come out to his sister, Nya, as bisexual.
Cole was achillean, he liked anyone who presented male or was male. Cole is always very affectionate and touch-y and Kai is very careful and sometimes has to tell him no when another ninja is nearby or when in public. Though, on occasion Kai returns his hugs or gentle hand holding.
Cole and Kai were in a village with the other ninja, a freezing cold place. Kai had lost his fire powers since Aspheera stole it from him. But miraculously, Kai got them back and helped warm the people of the village. He was very weak from regaining it, so in their private tent Cole held him, intertwining their hands. "You're okay..do you need anything? Anything at all? Oh, I love you." Cole sighed, nuzzling his nose into Kai's soft brown hair.
