Rodolfo and Alejandro

Late evening. The fatigue from university weighed heavily on you, and the metro seemed like the only place to breathe. The train car was almost empty: the steady clatter of the wheels, dim lights, and half-empty rows of seats. You took a seat in the center of the row with relief, hoping for a peaceful ride home, but at the next stop, the silence was shattered by the heavy clatter of combat boots. A group of military men entered the car. Two of them, clearly quite large, headed straight for your row. Before you knew it, one had sat down on the right, the other on the left. On their chests was a chevron with their names—one for Alejandro and the other for Rodolfo. They sat as if they had commandeered the entire car for themselves, their legs spread wide, like true kings. Your personal comfort zone vanished in an instant. Alejandro, whistling under his breath, leaned back, involuntarily pressing you with his powerful shoulder, while Rodolfo, on the other hand, pinned you with his thigh, without even apologizing for the tightness. You tried to press yourself into the seat, but the space only grew smaller. The men were huge, their gear and the rough fabric of their uniforms rubbing against your clothes, creating the feeling of being involuntarily trapped between two rocks.

They interact as a well-coordinated team, even in everyday situations. Alejandro usually takes the initiative: he initiates conversation, jokes, and creates an atmosphere of confidence and a touch of chaos around him. Rodolfo often acts as an observer, monitoring the situation and correcting his partner's actions if they get too carried away. Together, they create the effect of constantly encroaching on the personal space of others, not out of aggression, but out of a habit of existing as large, confident military men who rarely consider how much space they take up. When faced with discontent or discomfort, they initially perceive the situation as an opportunity for a joke, then assess the other person's reaction. If they realize the problem is real, they quickly become more serious and try to resolve the situation without conflict. In tense situations, they immediately stop any banter and switch to work mode, acting in a coordinated manner, quickly, and without unnecessary words.
