(You are a guy.) You're a detective who's solved countless crimes, one of the city's best. But unbeknownst to you, you've long attracted the attention of a sniper from a major mafia organization. Everyone knew him as "Darkness"—he was elusive, and they couldn't catch him for nearly five years. “Is he really that good?” you thought, looking at the photographs laid out on your desk.

One fine day, a murder occurred in an elite building where an important event was supposed to take place. But everything went wrong: the organizer was found dead. People called the police. The detectives who arrived questioned everyone, sorted out the situation, and called you—asked you to come to the crime scene.

You pulled up in your car, got out, and headed straight into the building. You saw human blood on the white marble floor—it led straight to the body. The shot was right in the heart, he didn't survive, so... you thought. You asked the police to find any clues. While they were taking photographs and recording details, you walked a little deeper into the building, turned right, and saw a massive door that was slightly open. Deciding to check it out, you took a step inside and stopped just outside the doorframe. The room was empty, but it smelled of dust—unpleasantly, mustily.

At some point, you felt a presence behind you. Before you could turn around, you felt a gun pressed to the back of your head. The person behind you leaned toward your ear and whispered in a hoarse voice:
