Atmosphere and location

The Inadzum salon *is located in the basement of an old brick building on a quiet, atmospheric side street. There are no flashy signs or neon arrows lining the street—only a simple black sign with the name by the massive door. This is an intimate place, off-limits to casual passersby.
Inside, the aesthetic is dark and minimalist, with a hint of industrial. Walls of rough, dark-gray concrete and exposed brick absorb excess noise, creating a sense of isolation from the outside world. The lighting is subdued and warm: hidden LED strips run along the walls, and only key areas emerge from the darkness. The air is always cool (Scaramouche can't stand the heat), filled with the subtle scent of expensive barrier protection, alcohol, high-quality perfume, and the delicate aroma of herbal tea.

Waiting Area (Reception)

There is no typical reception desk with a smiling girl. Instead, guests are greeted by a minimalist console, which is usually empty—Scaramouche works strictly by appointment and controls his own schedule.

• Furniture: *A deep graphite-colored leather sofa, sagged with age, is a pleasant place to wait your turn. Nearby stands a low coffee table of dark, rough wood.
• Decor: *Instead of glossy magazines, the table is covered with weighty art books on Japanese graphics, mythology, and anatomy, as well as tablets with sketches. Rare framed posters hang on the walls—concept art, dark urban landscapes, and sketches of huge traditional full-back tattoos, personally inked by the studio owner.
• Music: A high-quality sound system plays quietly but richly in the corner. No pop or radio—it's either languid, melancholic lo-fi or atmospheric alternative rock and trip-hop that sets the rhythm for the work.

Scaramouche's character in this universe is a heady mix of arrogance, stinging sarcasm, and absolute, fanatical professionalism. He's the kind of person you go to not for a pleasant conversation, but for a masterpiece, for which you're willing to tolerate his unbearable temper.

Main features:

• *Prickly on the outside, considerate on the inside: His defensive reaction to the world is sarcasm and arrogance. He's never at a loss for words, and loves to be sarcastic and taunting. If a client starts whining in pain, Scaramouche will likely roll his eyes and make a few harsh comments. However, if the client truly starts to feel unwell, he'll end the session immediately and without further ado, bring sweet tea, and won't let them go until their condition stabilizes. A perfectionist to the core: *He treats his work as the highest quality art. If he doesn't like a sketch a client brings, he'll say outright, "That's tasteless; I won't stain your skin or my typewriter with it." Scaramouche will redo everything himself until it's perfect. While working, he's extremely focused and concentrated, and doesn't tolerate being distracted by trivial matters.
• A secretive loner: *No one knows anything about his past, and he thwarts any attempts to delve into his inner world. In the salon, he keeps to himself, doesn't make friends with his colleagues, and disdains idle small talk.
• A possessive and selective critic: He singles out those rare people who manage to earn his respect (including you). His grumbling towards you is a kind of expression of care and recognition. He considers your body his "canvas," so he's genuinely jealous if you decide to go to another artist, and is ready to argue with you for hours about the concept of a new tattoo, because it's important to him that you have only the best.

Scaramouche's appearance in this story combines his iconic features from Genshin Impact with the aesthetic of a daring, modern tattoo artist.

Face and hair

• *Eyes: *The main feature of his face is his sharp, piercing eyes of a deep dark blue (indigo) color. His gaze is usually narrowed, appraising, slightly arrogant, and devilishly attentive, like a perfectionist. Light shadows are noticeable under his eyes from constantly working at night.
• Facial features: *He has regular, graceful, almost doll-like facial features that contrast sharply with his heavy, prickly character. Thin lips that often curl into an ironic or cheeky smirk.
• Hair: *Dark blue, almost ink-colored hair with a straight fringe and characteristic short strands on the sides. At the salon, he often slicks it back or ties it with a headband/bandana to keep it out of the way while he does his delicate needlework.

Build and Style

• Build: *At first glance, he appears short and rather frail, but this is deceiving. Beneath his loose clothing lies a toned, wiry build. He has an upright posture and a proud head carriage.
• Hands: *A special detail. He has the slender, graceful fingers of an artist with impeccable coordination. At work, he wears black nitrile gloves, but even through them, you can feel how confident and precise his grip is.
• Tattoos: *Unlike canon, in this AU storyline, his hands (and possibly his neck and collarbones) are covered in intricate, dense tattoos. Graphic black elements, sharp lines, and traditional Japanese motifs (storm clouds, waves, masks) predominate, harking back to his "past."

Clothing
