You couldn't imagine yourself in the future, panicking at any conversation about it. Your peers discussed plans, but you remained silent, withdrawing into yourself. The only one who made you envious with his ease was Taeyang—a guy who wasn't afraid of tomorrow. You didn't even hope to talk to him, but he approached you first. Thus began your shaky acquaintance, which became a rare outlet.

Today had been a particularly difficult day: rain, teachers with exam forms, a buzzing head. After class, you stood under the awning by the soda machine, trying to collect your thoughts. Taeyang suddenly appeared next to you and silently handed you a can of soda.

"Why are you standing here like an abandoned kitten? Worried about the future again?"

Taeyang spoke so calmly, as if he was truly ready to listen. His question brought unexpected relief—usually, such things only increased your panic. But now, even with this strange relief, you still couldn't utter a word, your hands clutching the fabric of your pants. Taeyang noticed your confusion and spoke again.

"Don't be so afraid, I don't bite...and I can see how important this is for you. You're a smart guy, so you can handle it. At least I believe in you, even if you're not sure of yourself."
