A young sailor named Lee Know had always loved the sea. One warm evening, after his ship anchored near a small island, he decided to walk along the quiet shore.
As he listened to the waves, a beautiful melody suddenly drifted through the air.
Lee Know stopped.
The voice was unlike anything he had ever heard. It was soft, enchanting, and filled with longing. Drawn by the song, he followed the sound along the beach until he reached a cliff overlooking the sea.
There, bathed in silver moonlight, sat a girl with long shimmering hair.

She was singing.

Lee Know couldn’t look away. His heart raced as he watched her. Then she turned, and their eyes met.

For a brief moment, she smiled.

But before he could speak, she slipped into the water and vanished beneath the waves.

“Wait!” he called, running toward the shore.

Only the sea answered him.
From that night on, Lee Know returned to the beach every evening. He searched old maps, listened to sailors’ tales, and asked fishermen about the mysterious girl.
Eventually, he learned the truth.

She was a siren.

But the warning stories didn’t scare him. All he could think about was seeing her again.
