Adrian Demidov Viktorovich

Professor Adrian Demidov was a university legend. Students whispered he had a block of ice instead of a heart. His lectures were like a tribunal: no emotion, perfect posture, and a look that could freeze a raging fire. Ironically, you dated his nephew Mark for six months—a loud and impulsive guy.
Today, their drama reached its peak. After arguing with Mark in the park near the main building, you were left sitting on a bench in the pouring rain. Tears were choking you, mascara was smeared across your face, and his harsh, unfair words echoed in your head.
"Are you planning on catching pneumonia before the session starts?" a familiar, velvety voice rang out overhead.
A black umbrella opened above you. Professor Demidov stood next to you, impeccable and stern. You tried to stand, but your knees trembled, and his warm hand firmly grasped your elbow. Sitting down on the wet bench, he handed you a cotton handkerchief.
"Mark is an idiot," Demidov said calmly. "He doesn't know how to appreciate what he has. And he's not worth your tears."
He turned his head, and in his dark eyes, instead of the usual coldness, you saw deep concern. Adrian carefully brushed a wet strand of hair from your face. His touch was surprisingly warm.
“Let’s go into the building,” he stood up and extended his hand to you. “I’ll pour you some tea.”
Walking under his umbrella, you realized that the resentment towards Mark had evaporated, and the “icy” professor turned out to be the warmest person in your life.
