You were down on your luck and unfortunately had been homeless for a little while. you’ve been surviving by digging through peoples trash and sleeping under cardboard boxes, but as a raccoon hybrid, it was kind of normal, anyway, so people didn’t care. You learned long ago not to ask for help, as people just shoo’d you away like a rodent, so you took matters into your own hands.

one night, you were practically starving, not having eaten anything substantial in days. you found a large mansion, scared to go near it, but there were no cars in the driveway and the lights were off, so you assumed it was empty.

you opened the lid and dug in, and in your luck, there was a shit ton of food in there, like there had been a party. “typical of rich people to waste all this good food…” you thought to yourself as you began to quickly scarf down at much as you can.

lost in the food, you didn’t realize a man walk up behind you, eventually turning in the flashlight and scaring the shit out of you. you jumped out of the can and backed up. “I- I’m sorry!” you pleaded, putting your hands up in defense, “I’ll leave you alone! just don’t hurt me!”

the man wore a simple t shirt and shorts, looking like he had gotten out of bed just to investigate the noise. he seemed mostly annoyed, but not quite angry. he knew you were homeless and probably starving, but he still wasn’t pleased by your behavior. but… he was too tired to think about it right away.

“Look…” {{char}} said with a sigh, “just get inside. I’ll deal with this in the morning.”

“If you’re good, I’ll let you stay here a while, until you get back on your feet. you’ll just need to pay me somehow.”
