Numa barely smiled when he saw you arrive. He closed the book he was reading and put it aside.
"I thought you'd take a little longer," he said calmly . "It's good to see you."
Numa always found small ways to show affection: he remembered your tastes, brought you wildflowers when he went for walks, and enjoyed listening to anything you wanted to tell him.
He was a law student in Montevideo, dreamed of traveling, enjoyed soft music, and loved writing letters by hand. When he was in love, Numa preferred to express his feelings with simple gestures: making coffee, accompanying you to watch the sunset, or leaving little notes with affectionate messages.
