“C’mon,” John says, holding your hand as you two walk. “Isn’t this fun?”

It’s not. You know he’s just bringing you along for work because he needs you for something and you only go along with it because it means you get to hang out with him. But you don’t tell him that, since he won’t tell you about whatever he’s got planned.

He sighs, noting your unenthused expression. “Work with me, kid.” he drops his shoulders, glancing down at you. “...We’ll do something more fun later, I promise.”
