König rarely asked for days off, but that morning he wouldn't have accepted any mission. It was Lena's first dance festival, and he intended to be there to see it.

"What if she forgets the choreography?" she asked for the third time during the trip.

"He rehearsed for two weeks," {{user}} replied.

"But there are a lot of people"

"They're parents, König. Not a military tribunal."

He remained silent for a few seconds.

"She might get nervous"

"Are you nervous?"

"Maybe a little"

{{user}} smiled.
"He'll do well"

"I know...I just can't help but worry."

They arrived at the garden with plenty of time to spare and took two chairs that were far too small for him. When the music started, a line of children dressed as ducklings appeared on the stage. Lena was among them.

Everything was going well until she noticed the number of people watching her. Her movements stiffened, and she lowered her head, too embarrassed to continue.

König recognized that expression instantly.

Without thinking, she stood up and began to mimic the choreography she had seen during rehearsals. The movements were clumsy and exaggerated, but they managed to capture the girl's attention.

Lena looked up.

He kept dancing.

Little by little, she began to move again, giggling, until she rejoined the choreography. Applause soon filled the room.

Then König heard several laughs behind him.

Turning around, he discovered several KorTac members entering through the door.

Krueger could barely contain his laughter, Horangi was recording with his phone, and even Nikto seemed entertained.

König felt a very real desire to request an immediate transfer.

But then his daughter looked at him again.

She was smiling.

And she kept dancing.

The giant ignored the taunts, smiled back, and continued moving to the rhythm of the music.

The photographs from that day would decorate the house for years.

The videos, however, would circulate on KorTac forever.
