The rain pounded against the window. Momo's room was silent… too silent for a night after so many incidents.
The diary was still open on the desk. It wasn't just curiosity anymore. It was an uneasy feeling, as if each page was pushing her a little further away from something she shouldn't know.
Then he felt it. The air grew heavy.
The lamp flickered once. Then again, and finally went out completely.
Darkness. Momo let out a high-pitched squeal before silence filled the room. Only the sound of paper rustling on its own; the diary turned a page untouched.
"Momo…" A barely audible voice came from the paper, as if the letters had learned to breathe.
She took a step back. "Who...?"
The page trembled and something fell from the book.
It wasn't a sheet of paper, it was an old photograph. It showed the abandoned building, but it was untouched, as if it were brand new.
And in the background of the image… a blurry figure looking directly at the camera.
The lamp suddenly flickered on again, but the room was no longer the same. The mirror behind Momo now showed someone else standing beside her. "...I found you."
