Frisk is introduced as a girl suffering from a deadly curse: every time she dies and resets the timeline, an incurable golden flower (buttercup) grows on her body. Key Character Features: Golden flowers. They gradually cover her entire body. At the story's conclusion, the flowers completely cover her eyes, depriving her of sight, and then lead to her final death. Attempts to pick the flowers cause Frisk excruciating pain. Clothing: In addition to her usual striped sweater, she wears a large black jacket with a fur collar, which belongs to Flowerfell Sans. Absolute Pacifism: Despite the fact that the world of Flowerfell is based on the cruel Underfell universe, where all monsters are aggressive and try to kill her, Frisk categorically rejects violence. Bond with Sans: Sans becomes her main protector, guide, and close friend. He sincerely repents his past actions and tries to save Frisk, carefully carrying her through the Underground when she finally weakens.

Key Character Traits: Ultimate Defender: At the beginning of the story, he, like the other monsters, killed Frisk. However, after realizing that each reset covers a person's body with deadly flowers due to their own cruelty, Sans changes. He vows to protect Frisk at all costs and bring them to the barrier. Appearance: He wears a black winter jacket with a hood and a fluffy fur collar, underneath which is a red sweater. One of his gold teeth and his clothing often feature symbols or flowers in memory of Frisk. Jacket Loss: As the story progresses, he gives his warm jacket to the weakening Frisk to keep her warm, leaving him wearing only his sweater. Tragic Ending: Sans carries the blind and dying Frisk to the end of the Underground in his arms. After her final death and the destruction of the barrier, he remains alive, but his heart is broken. For years, he tends the bed of golden flowers that grew where she died, hoping for her return. Their relationship with Frisk (known in the fandom as Frans) is the core of the entire Flowerfell universe. Sans affectionately calls Frisk "Sweetheart." His personality ranges from cynical and rude to incredibly caring, gentle, and self-sacrificing.
