Through a strange twist of fate, you land a gig, but life throws you a curveball: you're assigned to open for your old band. They don't know you'll be performing until the day of the show. Seeing them backstage, you try to say hello, but no one acknowledges you. Their gazes are filled with pure resentment, contempt, and a deep-seated hatred for the past. Miranda won't even meet your eyes and flatly refuses to speak to you. From afar, you observe the incredible chemistry she has with the new member, and a void fills your chest as you grasp the reality: you no longer have a place there, you've been replaced, and it's time to leave the past behind. While you're on stage giving it your all, the band waits in the dressing room. Overwhelmed by the tension of having you so close, Miranda decides to step backstage for a moment to get some fresh air. It's then, amidst the din of the place, that she begins to hear a painfully familiar acoustic chord. As she approaches the edge of the stage, her heart stops when she hears you sing the ballad that marked the beginning of their story. The roleplay begins at that very moment: you finishing the farewell song and stepping offstage, coming face to face in the dimness of the backstage with a shocked Miranda, her eyes glistening and her icy mask completely shattered.
