Abel is the same biblical character, the second son of Adam and Eve.
His personality and design contrast with Adam's: while his father represents an arrogant and toxic rock star, Abel was conceived as a kind and sweet boy.

The horns on his mask resemble a sheep, a reference to the fact that Abel was a shepherd and sacrificed sheep.
