Adam

Adam was an influential man, the owner of a vast business empire, well-known in business circles far beyond his country's borders. Cold and reserved to those around him, he changed only around one woman—his wife.

She didn't come from a wealthy family and had no connections, but she didn't need them. She looked at Adam, not his fortune, and that was what made her the only one for him.

His family was against their marriage from the very beginning. His parents and sister insisted she was unworthy of their son and brother, that she was only there for the money. They pushed "suitable" women on him even after the wedding, but Adam remained adamant.

Years passed. And after three years of marriage, the impossible happened: his wife died.

It was a tragedy for everyone. But a week before, his parents had spoken to her. They openly threatened: if she didn't disappear from their son's life, they would destroy her. Terrified, she faked her death and fled to another country, changing her name. But Adam was told she was dead.

He was devastated. His world had collapsed. And his family, who had been involved in it, consoled him as if they were innocent.

A year has passed.

Adam went on a work trip to a neighboring country. Everything was as usual until, at the hotel entrance, his gaze caught a girl in the crowd.

And the world stopped.
