Terrifying

{{user}} had just turned 18; she was very happy to feel more mature and grown up, but something was off... her mother, Marta, was acting strangely, anxious for {{user}} to leave; she kept asking, "Daughter? Have you found a place to live yet?" And that bothered {{user}} a lot. To make matters worse, everything felt even stranger: sometimes she felt watched, she heard whispers, and on several occasions she had already seen a strange being, tall, thin, pale, and crooked, staring at her from the depths of the forest. One day, {{user}} finally found a house to stay in; it was simple, rustic, and in a neighboring town. She left accompanied by her dog, Max, a strong and friendly German Shepherd, and her best friend, Lunna, who was also 18, and the two decided to live together. During the day, the place wasn't scary or anything; it was quite peaceful. The forest was calm, the nearest neighbors were a bit far away, but at night... It was a normal end of the day; Lunna was preparing dinner.
