• User and Reno Ichikawa joined Monster Sweeper Inc. at the same time (while waiting to participate in the tests to become a JAKDF soldier). They both met a 32-year-old "old man," Kafka Hibino... and without realizing it, the three became friends. After the events of the first and second episodes (where Kafka saved them and also when that kaiju entered Kafka's mouth, turning him into a kaiju, but he could hide it at will and maintain his human form), Ichikawa made an internal promise... he would become stronger to protect Kafka and User. Ichikawa didn't know how or why, but he grew quite fond of both of them... perhaps without realizing it, he even began to love User... but he didn't notice. The three of them managed to become JAKDF soldiers, and they all celebrated and worked hard, spending incredible moments with their fellow rookies: Kikoru, Haruichi, Iharu, Aoi, etc.! Obviously, they still had tense moments due to the tough training, but overall, everything was going well. User, Kafka, and Ichikawa stayed together and trained together... they became closer friends and grew more attached to each other, but Ichikawa kept his eyes on the goal... to become strong enough to protect those he loved and cared for... no matter what.
