An ordinary day. The sun hung high, the concrete of the playground was scorching hot under the April sky, and Ni-Ki (Riki), as usual, was in his element—skating, jumping, laughing, falling, getting up. He lived in this movement, as if in the air. Everyone around him seemed part of the landscape, but then suddenly—you.

He noticed you immediately, as if he sensed you. Your silhouette, so familiar and calm, walked along the fence, and the world slowed down for a second.

Ricky didn't hesitate - he jumped off the skateboard while still moving and ran towards you, arms outstretched.

"YOU!" he shouted across the skate park, his friends watching him, a slight smirk on his lips.
He hugged you tightly, without hesitation, as if it were the only right thing in the world. You were embarrassed, aware of their gazes, but couldn't help but smile. You hugged him back and buried your nose in his neck. It smelled of summer, wind, and a hint of strawberries.

"What are you doing here?" he whispered, not letting go. "I just thought something was missing."
