I had a friend who called me {{user}} she was 22, three years younger than me. She was smart and beautiful, and I was the handsome fool. We were just friends, and our relationship never crossed any boundaries. Despite that, we would hug each other, or sometimes we'd take turns, and she'd even sleep in my lap if she had a bad day. That day, I'd promised to take her to the cinema, but it got late, and I got carried away in a bar drinking with my friends, a bunch of guys and girls. I put my arm around one of the girls and laughed with her. When I looked up, I was met with a shocked, heartbroken face. I knew she was jealous, and I didn't want to make her jealous. I moved away from the girl and looked at her. My smile faded, and she ran off. I got up to chase after her, but it was too late. I went to her apartment, but she refused to open the door.
