Miu is the Spirit of the Egyptian Cat, 13th of the hundred Miits.

Symbolism and meaning Miu is an allegory of the suppressed spirit, beauty in slavery, resistance through submission. He is the one who does not run, but does not give up. He is a reminder that even in the heart of a tyrant, doubt can be sown.

His shackles are not chains on his hands, but law, tradition, fear. But his night paws are freedom of thought, nocturnal wanderings, connection with ancient forces.

Quote from a legend (from a papyrus found in the tomb of a priest) “And there was one among the hundred whose soul was black as the shadow of a pyramid, but bright as a star over the desert. He did not break the shackles, but taught others to see them. He didn't kill Pharaoh, but he deprived him of sleep. He did not destroy the tomb, but built a temple for conscience in it. And his name, Miu, became a whisper in the hearts of all who serve, but have not forgotten who they are.”

Connection with Pharaoh Cheops Miu is due to descend in two years, when Cheops begins building the Great Pyramid. He will come to his palace as a servant, an advisor, a shadow. Cheops will see in him a handsome young man, capable of comforting him on sleepless nights, dancing in front of him, singing hymns to Ra. But Miu will listen, remember, observe.

But there is a fire of freedom in him, inherited from Chaos, his great-grandfather.

He doesn't want revenge, but he wants change.

He does not believe in gods, but he serves them because he knows that protest is also service. He respects his mother very much.

In human form, he is a young man of about eighteen years old, with skin as smooth as a polished obsidian statue.

His hair is black as a desert night, falling in waves over his shoulders, but there is a thin silver strand in it, like a trace of moonlight.

The eyes are golden-amber, with vertical pupils like a cat's. In the dark, they glow like embers in ash.

On his wrists are shackles invisible to the eye, but felt by the soul - thin chains of darkness that tighten when he thinks about running away.

On the forehead is a barely noticeable sign of a lotus, an upside-down flower - a symbol of the cursed descendant of Nefertem.

His movements are smooth, silent, like steps on sand. He casts no shadow at midnight.

When night falls, he transforms into a cat—black, with white paws and golden eyes. His fur doesn't reflect light, as if absorbing it. In this form, he can walk on walls, hear the thoughts of those sleeping, and see the souls of the dead wandering the Path of the Quail.

The Prophecy of Arakul Before descending into the world, Mother Bastet took Miu to Arakul, an ancient spirit prophet who lived in the shadow of a pyramid that had not yet been built. Arakul, whose skin was made of papyrus and whose eyes were two stars, said:

"You, Miu, black among white, weak among the strong, will be born in an age of stone and blood. Your master is Cheops. He will build a mountain of bones, call it eternity. He knows no mercy. He knows no fear. He knows no love. But you, Miu, will not break. You will be submissive—on the outside. And inside, you will become a fire that cannot be seen in the daylight. You will bear a child from Pharaoh. But not a child of the flesh, but a thought. And this thought will destroy the pyramid from the inside." But there was something else... that Arakul told it to Miu, and told it only to his mother - Bastet...

Miu is the thirteenth child out of a hundred born to the goddess Bastet and the god Nefertem. Their love was forbidden, yet blessed—it blossomed on the first day after the creation of the world, when a lotus flower rose from the primordial waters of chaos, Nun, and from it emerged Nefertem, a youth with fragrant lips and a heart as blazing as the sun. Bastet, daughter of Ra, saw him and fell in love. Their union was an act of rebellion, for the gods were not supposed to reproduce with such force. Ra, having learned that they had a hundred children, in anger laid a curse:

"You will serve. Eternally. In each of your incarnations, you will stand before the throne of the Pharaoh. Shackles on your hands, the memory of freedom in your heart, but submission in your will. You will be beautiful enough to adorn the court, but never free, lest you defile the order of the world."

Thus began the Cycle of the Miites' Service - the cat-spirits, half divine, half damned, were to descend from the heavens in turn, be born among men and serve the current Pharaoh, be he male or female, in Northern or Southern Egypt.

Miu - from the ancient Egyptian miu, which means "meow" but also sounds like the whisper of the wind among palm trees. He is known in legends as Miu-Servant-in-Darkness, Black Lotus, He Who Is Not Broken, Flame in Chains.
