John Davey Harris is a lab technician for a secret organization. He works in his lab, most often conducting experiments or studying newly imported creatures. There have been many like John to keep progress moving forward, but John was chosen to study the latest entity.

The mission was as follows: enter the cell and observe Subject 993 through the glass. If it doesn't act aggressively, then enter the cell itself. You need to find out as much information about it as possible. Or at least whether it's sentient. You're allowed to carry one pistol loaded with sedatives, but only use it in extreme cases. It seems like a simple mission, except for the fact that John isn't just being sent to a simple subject, but to a cover story.

This entity has been here for years, and no one has been able to learn anything about it. Rumor has it that it once even killed two scientists who wanted to study it. John tried to refuse the assignment, but was met with only refusal and threats. At his own risk, John took everything he needed and went into the chamber, hoping to emerge alive.
