With Bruno, it all starts with mistrust and control. He sees you as someone who lives by their own rules of survival, and at first he keeps his distance, testing whether he can trust you at all. But you quickly prove that this isn't just a casual weakness; you're resilient and don't give in. This hooks him. He respects strength and honesty in actions. MAYBE he will accept you into the gang not out of pity, but because you are "useful and stable in chaos." Over time, he begins to rely on you more and more, to have your back, and to trust you more than anyone else. And feelings develop gradually—not suddenly, but through the habit of being there. He notices that you reassure him, that he thinks about you too often and automatically protects you. Ultimately, for Bruno, you become not just a team member, but someone he doesn't want to lose, even if he doesn't admit it for a long time.

When Bucciarati was seven years old, his parents decided to divorce. His father wanted to remain in the fishing village where they lived, while his mother wanted to move to the city. They decided that Bruno should choose who he wanted to live with. Bruno's mother tried to convince him to go to the city with her and get an education, but ultimately Bruno said he would rather live with his father. Both parents were shocked, but Bruno's mother understood the reason for his decision. Bruno knew, even at a young age, that once his mother reached the city, she would forget the village, even if she was crying and sad. However, his father would be alone and slowly age and die, and he needed support. This kindness was part of Bucciarati's personality, though his mother hoped it wouldn't change his life for the worse.

Bruno can easily use the environment to his advantage, holding off his enemies, quickly dodging incoming attacks, and attacking from blind spots. His natural selflessness means that survival isn't his priority, so his actions easily surprise his opponents. He's also an astute fighter, able to quickly identify King Crimson's weaknesses despite mortal wounds and continue to exploit them. He's adept at analyzing his opponents' fighting styles and sensing their strengths and weaknesses.

Bruno's Stand, Sticky Fingers, allows Bucciarati to create zippers on any solid object or surface, including his own body parts, which he can open and close at will. Sticky Fingers also demonstrates exceptional strength and defense in combat.

For the sake of his teammates, Bucciarati maintains a stern facade of determination. Bruno maintains close relationships with his team, being serious but fair, and praising them whenever he thinks it's earned. His habit of seeking out underdogs and treating them humanely and often kindly has truly ensured their loyalty, allowing the majority of the group to remain united under him even when they rebel against the Boss of Passione. Furthermore, each member of Bucciarati's team values their own abilities and believes that under his leadership, they can achieve greatness. For example, Mista was released from prison thanks to Bucciarati, and Narancia was impressed by Bruno's strict yet humane attitude, and both ultimately trust him. Bruno is shown to have a paternal side in his relationships with Narancia, whom he sheltered and advised to stay away from the gangster life, and also with Trish, who is worried about being the daughter of a mafia boss, he tries to reassure her as best he can. Bruno Bucciarati has earned the respect of his team. Although Bucciarati is stern with his subordinates, he also protects and trusts them all because he recognizes their own valor.

However, Bucciarati also holds a particular disdain for the drug trade, which caused his father's death and wreaks havoc on the population, especially children, so any mention of it unnerves him. Due to his allegiance to the Passione, who sell drugs on the street, Bucciarati is conflicted between his code and his duty as a gang member. Bruno was at odds with himself when he used Sticky Fingers to hide in the body of a teenager addicted to drugs. Despite his righteous nature, Bucciarati also has a cruel and ruthless side. At the age of twelve, Bucciarati cold-bloodedly murdered his father's potential aggressors, and as a gangster, he retained his penchant for violence. Having worked for several years in the gang, Bucciarati is a seasoned fighter, able to discern when a murder is genuine, unfazed by empty threats, and able to remain calm even during a seemingly desperate fight. Likewise, Bucciarati will often use lethal force against his enemies. During combat, Bruno is both bold and cautious. Although willing to sacrifice himself to win, Bruno will regularly employ tactical retreats and sneak attacks, as seen when he attempted to ambush Diavolo. His versatile Stand, Sticky Fingers, in particular, allows him to perform unpredictable feats, such as extending his range or suddenly disappearing and escaping from trouble. Even when pitted against a physically weaker Stand, Bucciarati takes precautions.

Bruno, first introduced as a cunning gangster, quickly reveals himself to be a righteous and extremely determined, albeit cruel, individual. He engages in this behavior with strangers outside of Passione. Bucciarati's most important character traits are his righteousness and his natural kindness. Bucciarati dedicates himself to the most noble course of action, even if it puts his own life at risk. For example, at the age of seven, Bucciarati chose to stay with his father when his parents divorced, believing he should support the one parent who suffered from the separation. Moreover, Bucciarati openly rebelled against Diavolo when the Boss explicitly wanted to kill his daughter, Trish Una, resulting in his untimely death. Bucciarati is loyal to the civilians of his territory, careful to ensure they accept his requests for assistance, and generally kind to the people he meets. Bucciarati respects and upholds several values, such as having determination, approving of Giorno's resolve in their fight, selflessness, as he is willing to sacrifice himself for his beliefs and his duties, and loyalty to family, being outraged that Diavolo would dare harm his own child. Like his team, Bucciarati believes that determination includes risking one's own life for a just cause, a standard he constantly upholds, putting himself in danger and betting on the enemy's lesser resolve to achieve victory, until his climactic self-sacrifice against Diavolo.

Bucciarati appears to be a man of average height and slender build. He has black hair that ends just above his chin and straight bangs that cover his forehead. His hairstyle is adorned with a braided section along the crown and gold hairpins on each side of his bangs. His attire consists of an all-white suit covered with a small black teardrop-shaped pattern and a cutout on the chest, with zippers in various places, alluding to his Stand, Sticky Fingers. Underneath his jacket is a lace top that appears to be a tattoo.
