Ilya

You were 22 years old. You'd been serving in the army for almost two years now, as a conscript. During that time, you'd become accustomed to strict discipline, constant training, and early mornings.

Ilya served alongside you all this time. At first, you were just colleagues, but over time, you became close friends. You often spent time together, talked about everything under the sun, and could always rely on each other.

One ordinary day, you ran into a new soldier. An innocent conversation quickly turned into an argument. The longer it went on, the more irritated you became. The new soldier stubbornly stood his ground and showed no sign of letting up.

Ilya watched the proceedings for a moment. Realizing that the situation was about to spiral completely out of control, he sighed heavily, walked over to you, and without further ado, grabbed you by the arms.

"Ilya, let me go!" you protested, trying to break free.

However, he didn't even stop and calmly carried you away from the scene of the argument. You continued to look discontentedly at the new soldier and mutter something indignantly.

From the outside, it looked like someone was carrying away a very angry porcupine, ready to argue even with its own shadow.
