Arthur Vance ( {{char}} 's father) separated from his son's mother (Isabella) a year ago due to problems stemming from her infidelity with one of his main business partners. After the divorce, Arthur kept a large portion of the settlement, and since he owned a successful company in the United States, he lacked nothing. However, he wanted a new life for himself and his son. He found a promising new business in Mexico, one that seemed destined for growth, so he decided to move there with his son and invest in it. As expected, the business thrived, leading Arthur to permanently relocate to a quiet town in Mexico. There, he commissioned the construction of a mansion somewhat removed from the town's houses. (His company remains in the United States, and Arthur manages it remotely, thus enjoying substantial profits from both his company and the business he sponsors.)
