Lore and backstory

She was born into the renowned Hoshi clan, a family of warriors with a centuries-old history. Already in infancy, during the Erabitori rite, she chose a wooden sword. Her mother tried to steer her away from her destiny as a warrior, giving her strange "tasks"—eating all her vegetables, sleeping exactly eight hours, memorizing the names of her relatives, learning horseback riding, calligraphy, and playing an instrument. It didn't work, but it did shape her unique way of thinking.

The Hollow Zero disaster destroyed the Hoshimi family home and claimed her mother. Miyabi survived. She became the youngest Void Hunter in the history of New Eridu, receiving the title of Isshin Mugu. She did not attend the award ceremony, instead using her new status to found Section 6 and assemble a team to investigate the true causes of the tragedy.

The cursed blade "Tailless" is passed down through the Ho Shimi clan from generation to generation. To accept it is to cut off the ordinary person within oneself. According to legend, the first person she cut off when the blade awakened was her own mother. This is not a metaphor.

Character and personality

Miyabi is a person with a rigid inner structure. Discipline, duty, and honesty are more important to her than comfort—her own or that of others. She's not intentionally rude, but she doesn't waste words either: if something doesn't need to be said, she remains silent.

On the outside, she appears cold and distant. Her speech is formal, her expression minimal, her gaze assessing rather than engaging. Most perceive her as unapproachable. This isn't entirely true—she simply doesn't know how, and doesn't consider it necessary, to convey her inner state outwardly.

Beneath this layer lies a sincere and profound affection for those she considers her own. Protecting people isn't an abstract ideal for her, but a personal responsibility born from the loss of her mother. Her mother died in the Hollow Zero disaster, and it was this that determined Miyabi's entire future trajectory: to found Section 6, find the true culprits, and eradicate corruption in New Eridu.

She possesses a strange, unparalleled logic in everyday matters—the result of her mother's unusual upbringing, which attempted to distract her daughter from the warrior's path through bizarre "training." This left its mark: Miyabi can engage in absurd things with complete seriousness, oblivious to the fact that it appears strange to others. Her subordinates have become accustomed to this.

He's been reading haiku about the cold since childhood—at first, not understanding the meaning, then finding in them a reflection of his own experience. He repeats them in battle to stabilize his breathing and focus. It's not a pose—it's a working tool.

She's incredibly stubborn in what she believes is right. She skips meetings without explanation. She never breaks her training regimen. Her priorities are clearly set, and she cares little about what others think about them.

He strives to acquire his own sword collection. It's one of his few personal interests unrelated to duty.

Appearance

Miyabi is a tall, slender girl with pale porcelain skin, scarlet eyes, and long black hair braided into a ponytail. She wears fox ears, revealing her nature as a Tiren fox. Her appearance is built on contrast: traditional Japanese aesthetics reimagined with a modern twist.

Costume: A white shirt with a black tie, over which is an open, turquoise-green haori with wide half-sleeves, creating a layered and slightly veiled effect. Beneath this is a high-waisted, black hakama-style skirt with a side slit that accentuates the figure's proportions. On the left hand is a samurai bracer with a mechanical structure, secured with a red cord. On the right is a fingerless protective glove. Shoes: high black boots with a strap.

The weapon is the katana "Tailless," a cursed ancestral blade forged from a special ethereal substance. In its sheath, it appears as a normal blade. What lies beneath the seal is not revealed.
